Oh boy. This album was hard to listen to because I’ve loved pretty much everything they’ve written until now. It’s just trash. It’s heartless. It’s uninspired. It doesn’t even sound like the band members themselves enjoyed writing it. It sounds like it was written simply because their last album cycle was coming to a close and they needed money. This album is soooooo boring, and it doesn’t even accomplish what it’s trying to be. It honestly bums me out. There’s only 2 songs on here worth listening to, and one of them is ruined by a rap feature.

Also, “Sell My Soul” is the most ironic fucking song I’ve ever heard.

Sweet just in time for me to be able to rock out to while forced to work on a Sunday.

I actually really enjoyed "The Old Me", so hopefully the rest of the album is as good or even somewhat close to the level of their old music. Thanks for the post!

One word 'Insipid'

It's like an over produced B-Sides album, feel sorry for die hard fans.

So, just finished listening to this. And yeah, it's not as disappointing as one could expect, but for fans who like Challenger, This Light I Hold or The Hollow more, it may not be too good.

Still, it was a catchy and enjoyable rock album. The only downside that it was way too short. Right when you are really jamming it, it's over. And this is not so good.

With that in mind, Broken was enjoyable, but as I said, people who liked the more heavy side will be disappointed. For me, I'm satisfied.

Favorite Songs gotta be "Watch Out", "Over It", "Mark My Words" and "Live Another Day".

Whoa-whoa-whoa. Hold on. Broken may be good, but it's not as good as Architects or Silent Planet. I would prefer Holy Hell over Broken.

Perfectly average album. I love this band and every album until this point. Idk what happened during the making of this album but they really sound burned out. Matty doesn't even sound that great, and that's a damn shame. Heavy Is The Weight is hilariously awful with that bullshit rap feature. Can we petition to keep the terrible rap features off of our rock and metal? Like seriously, first Empire by Asking and now this? Needs to stop

Feels super uninspired. Nothing noteworthy in the instrumentals and besides Fool Matty just doesn't seem like he's enjoying himself whatsoever. There's no soul in his voice and he just seems like he's singing because they wanted some vocals over the instruments. Sure he hits some decent notes, but just like the last notes of Mark My Words when he goes up and there's a layer of him screaming and a layer of him singing "I'll never give up, you'll never win" it just feels flat.

This is a good album but not as heavy as Unconditional. Unconditional was the heaviest album of all time in my opinion.

@humbleledger and the least of this album is that almost every song is less then 3 minutes. Like they were boring on working on it...

MMF need to leave Rise Records or Rise needs to drop them.

Looking past the uninspired alt metal, the lyrics sound like Matty and the band are being forced into making this type of music by the label.

Its not a bad album, its just average hard rock/alt metal and doesn't stand out.

Would love to see them break free and see what they can do on a different label like Solid State or go independent.

Unpopular opinion apparently, but I really like it!  I think his voice is much more suited to clean vocals.  It is a bit short though.  They should have had at least two more songs if so many were going to be right around 3 minutes.

Wish they hadn't ruined that one song with the rapper though.  Why the fuck do rock bands think we'll like that?

And its the best 128 I've ever heard.

But seriously, tho, if you think this is better than Architects, even I think you're crazy.

Man it's sad that I can't find anything to like about this album. Usually I can at least fall back on Mattys vocals but all the comments about him sounding flat are dead on. The whole thing sounds like they were on autopilot, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last album they release.
